Ceremony Details

UBC Faculty of Medicine hooding ceremony is being held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 - 1:00PM PST. Further details regarding your ceremony will be provided to you by those organizing the event.

Ordering Details

Rental Regalia Pricing Details

Visa, MasterCard and Visa Debit are accepted for payment method.

Regalia rentals are $75.00 taxes included.

Payment by Credit Card or Visa Debit: AVS (Address Verification Security) requires correct billing address


Email Order Confirmation Details

You will receive two emails once your online order has been completed.

The first email will be from Gaspard. This is payment receipt and contains your payment information. If you have used a credit card other than your own, it will show on this confirmation. The academic dress will be onsite in your name.

The second email will be from Build-A-Grad. This email order confirmation contains all the necessary details regarding your order.


Order Cancellations

All cancellations for refund must be received before April 24, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PST. Refunds will not be accepted after.

Regalia Pick-Up Instructions

Faculty can pick up their gowns at The Queen Elizabeth Theater on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, 1.5 hours before the ceremony begins. Gowns will be distributed by volunteers from the MD graduating class.


Regalia Return Instructions

Faculty gowns are being collected by the students organizing the ceremony. They can be left at the returns table at the Queen Elizabeth Theater for eventual return to UBC.  If you are attending UBC’s graduation ceremonies on May 20th as well, then you are to keep your regalia overnight and wear it to the ceremony on the 20th. Then, gowns must be returned to UBC Bookstore at 6200 University Blvd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z4 after your ceremony is over.
